We have had intermittent brief outages over the last few days when the IMAP server has failed under high load. We have tracked down and (hopefully!) resolved this bug as described here.

There is a new option when replying or composing “As Attachment”. This attaches the original message as an attachment, and can be used for forwarding HTML formatted email and forwarding email with full headers
A small number of accounts were unavailable for two hours today when one of our hard drives failed to mount correctly. The drive was corrected and no data was lost. We apologise to those who were affected during this time
With FastMail.FM’s recent popularity our hardware became overloaded in thelast couple of days. We have completed an upgrade to double our resources andFastMail.FM is now reallyfast again!
Performance of the web interface was poor this morning. We are getting ahardware upgrade in 12 hours that will resolve the poor performance of the webserver. Mail delivery, IMAP, and POP were not affected
